okay I am obsessed with this Japanese youtuber, Choki (https://www.youtube.com/@Choki/featured) -- she lives in the Japanese countryside with her cats and just got a dog and her videos are just her cooking and doing home improvement projects, I find them wildly soothing despite the fact that I don't really watch much youtube.

I love a self imposed challenge!!! My husband makes fun of me for them, but I dont care! In July, my self imposed challenge was to watch a movie every day (before July 1st, I had only watched 5 movies this year). Some days I was so busy and "cheated" by watching a short documentary movie (i mean, it WAS a movie!!!!!). One year, I made a drink a glass of wine every day as a challenge but i did it the WHOLE year. Last year I had one that was to to give my cat a treat every day (cause I forget to give her treats, but I never forget to get ME a treat!). I haven't thought of anything for August yet. It's already the 4th, is it too late to start? I mean, who cares! It's self imposed!!!!!

I am so bad about replacing IG with YouTube, but usually when I watch YouTube I fall asleep.. so I do think it’s a net positive exchange!!!

I'm with you on the stretching and yoga, I've been trying to get better about it! Thanks to your love for Matty I tried and really enjoy his evening stretches. My other tip is just using a timer if I've stretching my own. I think it's the most boring thing ever, but if I put a good song on and use a 30 second timer it helps it go by pretty fast and ta-da I stretched! I realized for yoga, I have to get out of my house to really get into it.

But what I really want to know, what do you think of Standard Deviation? It was practically begging me to be checked out at the library this weekend, but my list for this month is a bit lofty.

The most I have ever walked (with a fitbit, according to the fitbit, which is either undercounting my steps or overcounting my husband's) was 15,000 steps, and that was a full day at Universal Studios, so I very much admire that you were hitting 10,000 most days!
