One of my resolutions is to watch more TCM classics this year. Started Penny Serenade last night and had to turn it off because I suspected something very sad was about to happen. But I have Children of a Lesser God on my DVR and will be watching it tonight!
I never thought about calling them "entertainment goals" but I suppose I've been doing those for a couple of years! In 2020 I tried to watch more movies by women directors (and also did a MCU marathon, so obviously didn't hit that goal). One year I had a goal of reading the favorite book of some of my closest friends (that was fun, but also read a few I hated, but it was fun to get my friends to pick what I was going to read). A few years ago I also started trying to be more diligent about reading more not male, white, and English speaking authors, and got around to finding a bunch of fantastic books. This year that just ended and this one that just started my goal is just to read my TBR (at least 50%, goal is 70%) cause I also bought books in 2020 as if bookshops and authors were solely depending on me for their livelihoods.
And thanks for sharing the JG quote! That book is on my library wishlist, and now I want to add it to my holds asap, but... that TBR goal.. I need to make some progress towards is!!
