I *think* I might want to hear your thoughts on Jim Henson/Mr. Rogers only because of Very Sincerely Yours, but of course I'm also biased about Sylvia Plath, and learning more about Jimmy Carter is never wrong, so . . . truly I am like that unhelpful person when deciding dinner plans who's like "whatever y'all want, I'm not picky."

This is the kind of validation I need! I should've added a "do whatever you want, I trust you" option to the poll but then I would've been mad when people picked anything else.

I'm fairness, I think mixing up Russo and Ford is pretty common! I've read both and they are good, but I love Russo much more. Empire Fall(s) is a possibility for me, just because I haven't read that book since it came out. But I also said I'd participate in both the Franzen and Irving and pretty much fell at the first hurdle. So I think I shall guardedly enjoy reading both the bio and Russoalongs, and if I manage to actually join in the reading it will be a bonus.

Strongly looking forward to Empire Falls fall & I am actually gonna read along for that one, because the mom of a dear college friend/roommate gave me Bridge of Sighs as a gift after her book club read it and she knew I was a big reader, and despite 23yo me being like, "hmmm, nothing about this seems like a book I will enjoy that much", I read it and did, in fact, really enjoy it, but have never read anything else of Russo's! (Also, fun fact: he lives in Maine and his daughter [who is lovely!] is co-owner of the local indie bookstore I did all my events/signed copies through when I lived in Maine.)

I cannot vote in your biography poll because I am too torn, however. 😭

Ah, that's so cool that you have a true Richard Russo connection!
