Weekly Joys Vol. 31
Ohio State Fair edition!

Thanks for reading No One Asked! Most posts are free, but you can support this (always proudly anti-AI) newsletter with a paid subscription. Paid subscribers get Weekly Joys posts, Monthly Roundups, and occasional personal posts plus a bonus chapter from Waiting for Tom Hanks. You also get my eternal gratitude, which is worth a lot when you think about it.
First things first: you still have time to get to the fair. Not a lot of time, but you can probably make it happen (depending on where you are in the world). I didn’t grow up going to the Ohio State Fair, because I was going to the Bellville Street Fair, which is superior in most ways (free, in Bellville, I got out of school early for it). But now I’m fully Ohio State Fair-pilled. I need to see that butter cow! I want to check out the Natural Resources Park (this year my kid kayaked for free)! I wrote at length about the fair already this week, but honestly, there were a lot of joys there. I couldn’t help but write about it again.
Behind the paywall, I have some important fair tips, like how we got free parking, plus footlong corndogs, listening to strangers talk to each other, and the SkyGlider.
