Weekly Joys Vol. 29
Mini-golfing in a liminal space
Hello! A reminder that although most No One Asked posts are free, these weekly posts are for paid subscribers. Paid subscribers keep the newsletter running and they get these weekly posts, monthly roundups, occasional other personal posts, and a bonus epilogue from Waiting for Tom Hanks. You can subscribe for $5 a month (literally the lowest Substack will let me offer!) or $45 a year, which works out quite well for you if you do the math. Or even if you don’t!
Mini-Golfing in a Liminal Space will be the title of my collection of pop culture essays, btw (purely hypothetical but someone please pay me to write a collection of pop culture essays).
Last week was a great one. My son turned ten, the Columbus Book Festival happened, and we found what is quite possibly the weirdest mini-golf place in the entire city. Also, a new Fox in the Snow opened! Oh, and I almost ate a bug.
All this and more after the paywall! Let’s get to it.
