I’m back on schedule for the monthly roundup, and boy do I have a lot of movies and books to share with you this month. Also, it’s my birthday month! I’m a Taurus, and the only thing I know about the Zodiac is that I fit almost every single Taurus characteristic. I’m stubborn, I’m reliable, I don’t give up, and I hate change! Also I’m willing to commit to a project…ahem, this newsletter. I’ve said before that I’m not a big birthday celebration person, and I think a perfect birthday is spent in quiet reflection and with a commitment to treating myself. So while I may not want to do anything wild, I do just want to give into my every whim for a good couple of weeks (also: Taurus). And even though I love setting goals on New Year’s, I really love setting goals on my birthday. I’m entering the last year of my thirties and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel a bit of pressure. I feel like I have to commit to getting some things in order. Maybe I should write a post all about my goals for the last year of my thirties? We’ll see if that feels too self-indulgent (says the woman writing a newsletter entirely about her own obsessions).
This month: I’ve been watching a lot of family-friendly movies, reading some romance, and revisiting an old favorite singer. Also I talk about how much I hate the term “Maycember” and when people leave weird comments. Okay, let’s get into it!
