It’s October and no one is happier than me because I’ve been counting down the days until the Criterion Channel’s October collections dropped. Their programming is great year round (it’s the best streaming service by far if you’re a movie person), but they really step it up in October. This month’s collections include Witches, Horror F/X, Japanese Horror, Stories by Stephen King, and Starring Winona Ryder (not spooky but still important). This means two things: I’ll be parked on my couch all month AND Summer of Cher will have one last gasp in October because Mermaids is included in the Winona collection.
I don’t work for the Criterion Channel…I’m merely a passionate fan who wants you to live your best life, which is obviously one where you’re watching a lot of Winona Ryder films.
I spent so much time out of my comfort zone this month and frankly, I’m ready to be back in my comfort zone (which is on my couch, with a book and a video playing that I found by searching “cozy rain fall ambiance”). I read a lot, watched barely any movies, got back into a childhood favorite sitcom, and did my best Cate-Blanchett-in-TAR impression (hunted down a child I do not know and yelled at him). Let’s get to it!
