A thing about me is that even though I don’t really love shopping OR supporting large businesses, I love Black Friday. Pre-pandemic, my mom and I had a tradition of getting McDonald’s breakfast and braving the crowds in the early morning (but to be honest, by 2019 the crowds had dwindled a lot). I don’t know why, but there’s something about wandering around Target at 7 AM on the day after Thanksgiving that just makes me feel ALIVE.
So I’m bringing that Black Friday spirit to No One Asked and running a subscription sale. If you subscribe between now and November 24th, you can get 20% off your yearly subscription. Paid subscribers get a monthly roundup post where I write about what I’m reading, watching, and listening to, plus I usually share my thoughts on Taylor Swift and whatever else is going on in my life. I try to really pack these posts full of stuff to make them worth it. They’re long! They’re weird! In this week’s, I’m going to tell you about an awkward recent doctor’s appointment, so be warned!
Paid subscribers also get a monthly post about the Alice books by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. I’ve only done one so far (next one coming next week!) but I already LOVE this project. It’s a lot of fun and it makes me cry.
You have until November 24th (also known as Black Friday, also known as the day after Thanksgiving) to get this discount on a one year subscription. I’ve never run a Substack offer before and this is all very exciting for me.
The paid roundup will be out later this week, so I’ll see you soon. xo
